FantasyOmatic rates every NFL player on a 0–100 scale using ridge regression on real play-by-play data. Unlike expert opinions or consensus rankings, our algorithm adjusts for opponent strength automatically.

40 is the waiver line, 55–69 is streamer territory, 70–79 is solid, 80–89 is strong, and 90+ is genuinely elite. Equal ratings carry equal cross-position fantasy-value meaning. Rating shows who is more valuable to have; projection shows who to start in a slot. A zero is displayed as an availability status such as BYE, IR, or OUT.

Getting Started — 5 Steps

  1. Browse Rankings — Head to the Rankings page and explore players by position. Tap any name to see their full detail page with projections and trends. FREE
  2. Explore Matchups — Check the Matchups page before setting your lineup. It shows which defenses are vulnerable at each position. FREE
  3. Check Your Dashboard — Your Dashboard shows Smart Alerts: injury vacancy targets, bye conflicts, efficiency trends, and more. Set up a manual roster or connect your league to personalize it. ALL-PRO
  4. Set Up My Team — Build your manual roster with All-Pro, or import a supported league with Hall of Famer. Choose an available provider in My Team. ALL-PRO
  5. Ask the AI Coach — Have a start/sit dilemma or trade offer? Open AI Coach and ask in plain English. It has full context on every player's ratings, matchups, and injury status. Included with All-Pro and Hall of Famer. Free users can inspect the same underlying ratings from Rankings and Matchups. ALL-PRO

Start with the 2026 season. Check the season, week, and update status before using a rating for a lineup decision. Week 1 ratings appear once a qualified release is published, using historical bootstrap evidence before current-season data qualifies; an unavailable rating means there is no current result to use yet.

In My Team, build a manual roster with All-Pro or import a supported league with Hall of Famer. Add your players, choose starters and bench players, and review your league settings. Your roster supplies the context for Dashboard, Compare, Fix Byes, and AI Coach.

Manual rosters are editable inside FantasyOmatic. Imported rosters are read-only here; make roster moves at your league provider, then refresh the connection in FantasyOmatic.

How To Use This

  1. Open My Team and build your manual roster or choose an available league provider.
  2. Confirm the active league, season, scoring settings, and starting lineup.
  3. Review the current ratings status before making a Week 1 decision.
  4. Open Dashboard or AI Coach and confirm that its context matches your active roster.

Your dashboard personalizes from your manual roster or connected league. It surfaces Smart Alerts ranked by priority: vacancy targets from injuries, bye-week conflicts, playoff stash candidates, efficiency trends, and opponent scouting.

The CoachSpeak banner highlights the single most actionable insight for the week.

How To Use This

  1. Open My Team first and confirm your manual or synchronized roster is current.
  2. Review the CoachSpeak banner at the top — it highlights your most urgent action item.
  3. Scroll through Smart Alerts — they're sorted by priority. Crimson badges = act now, yellow = monitor.
  4. Tap any alert to jump to the relevant player detail page or matchups view.

Use position tabs (All, QB, RB, WR, TE, FLEX, K, DST) to filter. Search by a player's full name, choose Player Rating, This Week, Rest of Season, or Playoffs, and click a future week on the week dial to preview that matchup.

Player Rating is the opponent-neutral 0–100 translation of the player model output. Player Rating and This Week use separate frozen conversions. Their difference is not an additive rating-point adjustment or an isolated opponent effect. Ratings are also separate from projected fantasy points. Kickers and DST use a 4-Week Outlook lens instead of ROS, with a Confidence column.

Each player row shows their rating, injury status, bye week, and opponent. Tap any player row to expand it. Open “How to read a FantasyOmatic rating” above the table for the meaning of every column.

How To Use This

  1. Select a position tab (QB, RB, WR, TE, FLEX, K, DST) or view All to see every player.
  2. Choose Player Rating, This Week, Rest of Season, or Playoffs based on the decision you are making.
  3. Type a player's full name in the search bar, then select the result to open their detail page.
  4. Tap any player row to expand projections, efficiency, and trend data; tap through for the full detail page.
  5. If connected to a league, toggle the My Team / Available filters to see only rostered or free-agent players.

Each player page includes:

  • Instrument Hero — This Week rating (0–100) on a 240° arc, flanked by Player Rating/ROS/Playoffs/Trade readouts. Use the Rating and Signal Dial tabs to move between the compact rating view and the horizon instrument described in the next section.
  • Efficiency Instrument — Player efficiency vs. opponent defense, matchup classification
  • Usage Telemetry — Target share / carry share bars, role badge, position-specific stat grid
  • Projection Waterfall — Base Skill → Opponent → Efficiency → Home/Away → Surface → Injury → Total
  • Weekly Trend — 10-bar chart with 3-game trend indicator
  • Similar Players — Collapsible list with ratings

How To Use This

  1. Look at the ArcGauge for weekly value, then use the projected points to make the lineup-slot decision. Rating color is a value tier, not an automatic start/sit command.
  2. Check the Efficiency Instrument — it shows how this player's usage efficiency stacks up against the opposing defense. A 'Favorable' or 'Smash' tag means the matchup is good.
  3. Scroll to the Projection Waterfall to understand *why* the projection is what it is — each bar shows a factor (opponent, home/away, injury, etc.).
  4. Use the Weekly Trend chart to see if the player is trending up or down over the last 3 games.
  5. Expand Similar Players at the bottom to find comparable options on waivers or for trade targets.

On every player detail page, the hero card carries Rating | Signal Dial tabs. Signal Dial is one graphic that answers this week, the rest of the season, and the playoffs — and shows why the number is what it is.

  • The big number — the rating for the horizon you are viewing (Week, Season, or Playoffs)
  • The arrowed sweep (MATCHUP) — how far this week's matchup moves the player off his talent baseline. Green sweep clockwise = boost; red sweep back = penalty
  • The spokes — the factors behind the move (Defense, Efficiency, Home/Road, Injury). They always add up exactly to the difference — tap one for the story
  • The outer ring — the season, week by week. Tap any week to preview it; tap the center to come back to now
  • Color is a value tier, descending heat: green 90+, gold 80s, white 70s, orange 55–69, red below. A player on BYE or IR shows a status chip, never a zero

How To Use This

  1. Open any player page and tap the Signal Dial tab in the hero card.
  2. Read the big number first — that is the rating for the horizon shown above it.
  3. Tap WEEK, SEASON, or PLAYOFFS under the number to switch horizons.
  4. Tap any week on the outer ring to preview a future matchup; tap the center to return to this week.
  5. Tap a spoke (Defense, Efficiency, Home/Road, Injury) to see why the rating moved.
  6. On desktop, hold the dial to compare the current selection with its Player Rating baseline.

AI Coach shows the active league, roster snapshot, ratings run, freshness, and validation state it is using. Personalized advice is checked against that visible context before it reaches you. Ask it:

  • “Should I start Mahomes or Allen?”
  • “Is this trade fair?”
  • “Who should I pick up from waivers?”
  • “What's the injury outlook for my team?”

Recommendation evidence links back to current ratings and roster facts. If required context is missing, stale, or unresolved, Coach asks you to reconnect or refresh instead of inventing an answer.

Check the active roster and ratings context before using a recommendation. Use Report an issue if that context is incorrect or a handoff does not work.

How To Use This

  1. Open AI Coach from the nav bar (or tap Coach in the mobile tab bar).
  2. Ask in plain English — be specific. 'Should I start Lamb or Brown this week?' works better than 'Who should I start?'
  3. For trade questions, name both sides: 'Should I trade Kelce for Lamb and Singletary?'
  4. Confirm the active league and validation badge before asking roster questions.
  5. Ask follow-up questions — the Coach remembers your conversation context within the same session.

The Matchups page starts with a position, then ranks every defense by how much it raises or lowers that position's weekly rating. It is opponent-strength adjusted, not raw Fantasy Points Against.

When you're connected to a league, your roster players are highlighted in the matchups view.

How To Use This

  1. Select the week you want to analyze (defaults to the current week).
  2. Pick a position to see which defenses are weakest/strongest against that position.
  3. Green adjustments elevate the weekly rating; red adjustments suppress it.
  4. Connected to a league? Your roster players are highlighted so you can quickly spot good starts.
  5. Tap a matchup card to drill into the player detail page for a deeper breakdown.

Weekly Comparison answers a one-player-versus-one-player start/sit question. Trade Analyzer accepts unequal, multi-player packages and evaluates the longer rest-of-season and playoff horizon.

How To Use This

  1. Search and select two players to compare — they can be different positions.
  2. Review the side-by-side ratings: Overall, This Week, ROS, and Playoffs.
  3. Check the weekly trend overlay to see who's trending up vs. down.
  4. Choose Trade Analyzer for packages, then add one or more players to either side before evaluating the long-term edge.

Matchup Matrix is an All-Pro remaining-schedule view for QB, RB, WR, TE, and FLEX. It starts at the current week and ends at Week 17.

The matrix depends on a prepared ratings snapshot. If it says the matrix is still being prepared, continue with Weekly Matchups and report the state only if it persists after the site's ratings update.

  • Matchups Only isolates defense strength plus the player-specific efficiency matchup. It excludes venue, surface, injury, vacancy, and availability.
  • Apply Player Ratings shows the complete Week Rating for the same schedule. Talent sets the baseline; the opponent effect is already included.
  • ≈ Our Estimate is FantasyOmatic's availability forecast, not an official NFL designation. MISS keeps opponent context visible in Matchups Only but hides the Week Rating; BACK is the first week the rating returns.
  • Schedule Edge is the average signed opponent model edge across scheduled remaining games. It is not a 0–100 rating-point adjustment. BYEs are visible but excluded from the average.
  • FLEX includes RB and WR by default. TE and QB can be added explicitly for leagues with broader flex rules.
  • Changing lenses changes the natural order: Matchups Only starts with the easiest schedule, while Apply Player Ratings starts with the strongest remaining player outlook. Select any week heading, or choose a week from Order on mobile, to rank that exact week.
  • Cell color follows the active lens. Matchups Only uses red, neutral, and green for opponent effect. Apply Player Ratings uses the standard FantasyOmatic scale: gray below replacement, red fringe, orange streamer, white solid, gold strong, and green elite. The visible number and label remain the source of truth.
  • A green week can improve a decision, but cannot make a weak player elite. Never add the displayed model edge directly to the Week Rating; the public rating uses a nonlinear conversion and already includes the matchup.

How To Use This

  1. Open Matchups, then choose Matchup Matrix.
  2. Leave Matchups Only selected to rank players by the remaining opponent road.
  3. Use Schedule Edge to find the easiest or hardest remaining schedule; BYEs do not count.
  4. Switch to Apply Player Ratings to see whether the player is good enough to benefit from that road.
  5. Use the changing legend to read cell color in the active lens: matchup favorability in Matchups Only, complete rating tier in Apply Player Ratings.
  6. Select a week heading to rank that week's matchup edge or complete Week Rating; select it again to reverse the order.
  7. Select a week cell to separate the neutral Week Rating, additive matchup and context edges, and complete Week Rating.
  8. Use My Team for your roster. Available appears only when a supported league has verified current ownership.

The Mirage Index ranks all 32 defenses two ways for one position: the public column uses the raw Fantasy Points Against-style number (fantasy points per touch actually allowed, schedule included), and the adjusted column uses FantasyOmatic's opponent-adjusted Defense Impact — the same signal behind Weekly Matchups. In both columns, 1st = toughest and 32nd = softest. The distance between a defense's two ranks is its perception gap.

  • MIRAGE (gold) — the public rank says tough, the model says soft. The scary defense isn't actually there.
  • AMBUSH (crimson) — the public rank says soft, the model says tough. The “easy matchup” is a trap.
  • Mid-board rows with small gaps stay unstamped — when the public numbers behave, the page says so instead of inventing a mirage.

The wavering number is the public one; the still crimson number is the model's. On load only the public column shows — the reveal control sweeps in the adjusted column. It is a free page, and the share button is for your group chat, not your league.

How To Use This

  1. Open Matchups, then choose Mirage Index (or go straight to /mirage).
  2. Pick a position — QB, RB, WR, or TE. Defense Impact is measured per position, so the board re-sorts.
  3. Read the hero card: the largest gap of the week, with the public rank and the adjusted rank side by side.
  4. Press and hold “Hold to see what they can't” (tap on mobile) to reveal the adjusted column and the connecting lines.
  5. Gold MIRAGE rows are start-friendlier than their reputation; crimson AMBUSH rows deserve more caution than raw FPA suggests.
  6. Use the methodology footer to see exactly how both columns are computed — nothing on the page is a new model.

Fix Byes shows which starters are on bye each week from your manual or synchronized roster. A real league connection adds ownership-aware replacements: only those options are labeled as confirmed available in the active league.

How To Use This

  1. Build your manual roster or connect a supported league, so Fix Byes can identify conflicts.
  2. Select any upcoming week to see which of your starters are on bye.
  3. Review bench pivots first. Treat Available Now as confirmed only when an active league sync says so.
  4. Plan ahead: check 2–3 weeks out to make waiver claims before other managers catch on.

Browse published stories, editorial analysis, and model notes. Each article has its own date and shareable page, with links to relevant players where provided.

The optional browser extension adds FantasyOmatic Rating100 badges to player lists on ESPN Fantasy, NFL.com Fantasy, CBS Sports, Sleeper, and Yahoo Fantasy. It uses the FantasyOmatic account already signed in within the same browser; a Free account is enough.

The Chrome Web Store listing is still under review, so the current build is installed manually from the downloaded folder in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, or Arc. Manual installs do not update automatically.

How To Use This

  1. The extension is optional; the core website does not require it.
  2. Follow the installation steps on the Extension page and keep the unzipped folder in place after loading it.
  3. Check roster, waiver, matchup, and other in-season player lists on a supported fantasy site.
  4. Confirm badges identify the right player, position, team, rating week, and sign-in state.
  5. Report a missing or incorrect badge with the fantasy platform and page type, but never include league credentials or cookies.

Build your manual roster with All-Pro, or import a supported league with Hall of Famer. Manual rosters can be edited inside FantasyOmatic. A synchronized roster is read-only here because the league provider remains the source of truth.

Provider support reflects what each connection has proven:

  • Sleeper — Public API, just enter your username
  • Yahoo — Connect through Yahoo authorization when the option is available in My Team
  • ESPN — Cookie-based auth (espn_s2 + SWID)
  • CBS — Connect-time roster import with an encrypted short-lived session; no background sync

Once connected, your dashboard, alerts, matchups, and AI Coach all personalize to your actual roster.

How To Use This

  1. Start by choosing a manual roster or a supported league connection in My Team.
  2. To import a league, choose an available platform in My Team and follow its connection steps.
  3. Sleeper: Just enter your Sleeper username — no login needed (public API).
  4. ESPN: Paste your espn_s2 and SWID cookies (found in browser dev tools on ESPN.com).
  5. CBS: Your password is exchanged server-side and discarded; only an encrypted short-lived session is retained.
  6. After connecting, use Sync Now to refresh supported league data. CBS requires a manual reconnect after its short-lived session expires.
  7. Do not paste credentials into an issue report. Report only the provider, the step that failed, and the visible error message.

Generate an on-demand podcast with The Host and The Model Analyst. Episodes cover your matchups, waiver targets, and trade advice when each format is relevant to the current week.

Features: play/pause, speed control, progress bar, full transcript with speaker labels and chapter navigation — tap any chapter or transcript line to jump the audio there.

How To Use This

  1. Navigate to My Podcast (Hall of Famer). Your manual or connected roster provides the team context.
  2. Choose an episode type, then click Generate Podcast. FantasyOmatic writes a two-host briefing from your roster and this week's signals.
  3. Wait for audio generation (Edge TTS + FFmpeg) — usually takes 1–2 minutes.
  4. Use the player controls: play/pause, drag the progress bar, and adjust speed (0.5x–2x).
  5. Open the transcript to read along — each section is labeled by speaker (Host or Model Analyst).
  6. Once audio is ready, use Call In to ask the hosts a follow-up, or browse past episodes from history.

Season Story tracks your roster's performance over time: how your players' ratings trended, which moves paid off, and a narrative recap of your fantasy season as it happens.

Generate a prospective baseline even before you have a resolved decision. Each edition is saved to your account with a timestamp, and later editions connect recorded AI Coach decisions to their outcomes. Hall of Famer.

The injury system is multi-layered:

  • Official statuses — OUT, IR, Q, D, and BYE come from NFL reports, reserve lists, and the schedule.
  • ≈ Our Estimate — MISS, PLAY, BACK, and RETURN TBD are FantasyOmatic forecasts with LOW, MED, or HIGH confidence.
  • Return timing — BACK is the first week the model expects the player active. MISS weeks show no Week Rating or projected points; BYEs remain schedule-driven.
  • Vacancy redistribution detects injured starter opportunities and boosts backup projections
  • Smart Alerts surface waiver targets created by injuries
Player Rating
Madden-like 0–100 translation of the opponent-neutral player model output.
Week Context
Supported weekly context. The difference between separately converted ratings is not an additive model adjustment.
This Week
The weekly model outlook using its own frozen conversion. It is not projected fantasy points or Overall plus an adjustment.
ROS
Rest-of-season rating across all remaining regular-season weeks.
Playoffs
Rating across the league playoff subset; Weeks 15–17 when no league is connected.
Active league
The one authenticated league whose roster, settings, ownership, and availability are in use.
Confirmed available
A player the active league sync identifies as unrostered; never inferred from global rankings.
Schedule Edge
Average opponent-only model edge across the remaining scheduled games. It is cross-position comparable but is not a 0–100 rating-point adjustment. BYEs are excluded.
Matchups Only
Defense strength plus player-specific efficiency effect, isolated from venue, surface, injury, vacancy, and availability.
Apply Player Ratings
The complete weekly rating view. Its matchup is already included through the nonlinear rating conversion; never add Schedule Edge or a week edge directly to it.
≈ Our Estimate
FantasyOmatic's model-generated availability outlook. MISS hides weekly ratings and points; BACK is the first expected active week. Confidence remains separate from official NFL status.
Perception gap
The distance between a defense's public FPA-style rank and its opponent-adjusted Defense Impact rank; 1st = toughest in both columns. Large gaps earn MIRAGE or AMBUSH stamps on the Mirage Index.
MIRAGE
Mirage Index stamp (gold): the public rank calls a defense tough while the adjusted rank calls it soft. The scary reputation is the illusion — start-friendlier than it looks.
AMBUSH
Mirage Index stamp (crimson): the public rank calls a defense soft while the adjusted rank calls it tough. The “easy matchup” is a trap.
Season Pass
One payment for access through Week 18. Nothing renews.

Before current-season evidence qualifies, Week 1 uses historical bootstrap inputs. Once qualifying regular-season data exists, the offensive Ridge model fits completed current-season player-games and weights recent weeks more heavily. The live ratings remain in early-season calibration until a successful ratings publish has actually incorporated three completed current-season weeks.

Those weeks help the system stabilize current roles and usage. Rookies and players on new teams or in materially changed roles have less current-season evidence, so their ratings may move faster during this phase.

Calibration follows the data incorporated into the latest live ratings run, not the calendar or the projection week shown on screen. A delayed or incomplete pipeline cannot claim calibration is complete.

Registered Free accounts receive All-Pro through Week 3 while the new season calibrates. That access deadline is schedule-based and remains independent from calibration status.

The algorithm uses ridge regression on NFLverse play-by-play data with position-specific features. Player, Week, ROS, and Playoff are separate native model outputs. Rating100 translates those outputs into a Madden-like 0–100 language that is comparable within and across positions. Projected fantasy points and trade indices are never Rating100 inputs.

Rating types:

  • Player Rating — Opponent-neutral player-model rating
  • Week Context — Signed difference between the weekly model rating and Player Rating
  • ROS — Per-game rest-of-season Ridge rating
  • Playoffs — Per-game Weeks 15–17 Ridge rating

This Week has its own frozen conversion; it is not Player Rating plus an adjustment. Rating shows player value; projected points are a separate lineup-slot aid. Package trades are evaluated in hidden additive value-edge units, not by summing public ratings.

League data is stored securely in Supabase (PostgreSQL). Provider tokens and ESPN cookies are encrypted where persistence is required. CBS passwords are discarded after a short-lived encrypted session is established.

You can disconnect your league at any time from My Team settings. This removes the connection and synced roster data.

FantasyOmatic does not sell league or roster data to advertisers. Provider credentials are used only to provide the connection you request.

Signed-in members can select REPORT AN ISSUE on the affected page. Describe one problem or idea at a time so support can understand the context.

How To Use This

  1. Select Report an issue on the page where you found the problem.
  2. Choose Something's broken or An idea, then describe what you expected, what happened, and the shortest steps that reproduce it.
  3. Attach a screenshot with the paperclip if it shows the problem. Up to four PNG, JPEG or WebP images, 8 MB each.
  4. Never include passwords, cookies, provider tokens, or other credentials, in the description or in a screenshot.
  5. For a feature idea, explain the decision you want to make and what would help you make it.

Each report is filed as a ticket against the email on your account, so support can reply to you there.

If you cannot sign in or open the report form, use the Contact page, which also carries our email address and a direct-message link.

Paid access is a one-time 2026 Season Pass through Week 18. Nothing renews.
